Rooms
Comfortable, well-appointed rooms designed for safety, comfort, and independence.
Many rooms are ensuite and have a minimum size of 12 square metres. Many rooms are more than 14 square metres. For disabilities, we have larger rooms with appropriate access. We have only 2 double rooms that could be used for bariatric rooms.
Rooms occupied by residents are provided with adequate and high quality furniture, bedding and other furnishings, including curtains and floor coverings, and equipment suitable to the needs of residents.
Residents, so far as it is practicable to do so, are encouraged to bring their own furniture and furnishings into the rooms they occupy.
Communal
Social spaces and activities designed to promote community and well-being.
Residents are encouraged to promote their social interests within the home, and Glyn Thomas House makes arrangements to enable them to engage in local, social and community activities and to visit, or maintain contact or communicate with, their families and friends.
Glyn Thomas House consults residents about the programme of activities arranged by our dedicated Activity Co-ordinator. We provide facilities for recreation having regard for our residents and their well-being.
